Laporta: "Inter was willing to pay Messi's release clause. But I always said..."

Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta claims Inter Milan were ‘willing to meet’ the Leo Messi’s release clause during his time at the club.

Speaking to RMC Sport, the 53-year-old said: “When I was President we received many offers for Messi from clubs, including Inter, that were willing to pay his buyout clause. But I always said that the sale of the Argentine was impossible” he said.
